According to the history, kites were first described in
cave paintings in Indonesia, maybe as early as the 5th
century BC. The first paper kites were recorded in
China about 549 AD, but were probably flat rather than
bowed, so their flying success was marginal. It
wasn't until several hundred years later that the bowed
concept was born using bamboo as spars to create the
bowed effect and improve their aerodynamics. They
have been a popular form of entertainment ever since and
have touched every civilization since both in military
aspects as well as pleasure flying. Throughout the
years they have also become a major sport in
stunt-flying circles and large competitions are held
worldwide every year honoring the prowess of
well-rehearsed kit fliers. Whether you are a raw
beginner, a child flying your kite in your favorite
park, or an experienced kite aficionado, we have just
the kite for you. Please peruse the choices we
offer and let us help make your next kite-flying
experience the best you've ever had. |
